Basic Gospel Outline

 

*The Basic Gospel outline can be remembered: "HEAVEN is for MAN from GOD through JESUS by FAITH."*

  1. HEAVEN is a free gift from God.
    1) Ephesians 2:8, "For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God."
    2) Romans 6:23, "For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life through Christ Jesus our Lord."

  2. MAN is a sinner a cannot save himself
    1) Romans 3:10, "No one is righteous, not even one."
    2) Romans 3:23, "For all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God."
    3) The "    DOCTOR ILLUSTRATION"

  3. GOD loves us and does not want to punish us but he is obligated to punish sin.
    1) Romans 6:23, "For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life through Christ Jesus our Lord."
    2) The "    JUDGE ILLUSTRATION"

  4. JESUS paid the price for our sin and He is the only to heaven.
    1) John 3:16, "For God so loved the world that He sent His one and only son, that who ever believes in Him would not perish but have everlasting life."
    2) John 14:6, "[Jesus] is the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to Father except through [Him].
    3) Proverbs 14:12, "There is a way that seems right to man, but in the end leads to death."

  5. FAITH is the key to accepting this free gift.
    1) Belief + Trust = Faith
    2) The "    NIAGRA FALLS ILLUSTRATION"


    Assurance of Salvation

    1 John 5:13, "I write things things to you who believe in the name of the son of God, so that you may know that you have eternal life."

    John 10:26, "And who ever lives and believes in [Jesus] shall never die."

    ABC's of Salvation

    A: Admit that you have sinned. (1 John 1:9, "If you confess your sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us of our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.")

    B: Believe in God. (John 3:16, "For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only son, that who ever believes in Him would not perish but everlasting life.")

    C: Confess Jesus as Lord. (Romans 10:9, "If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you shall be saved.")
